Your Coach

Your Pathway coach is Hilary Danelian. Prior to training as a coach, Hilary’s background was in leadership development, HR and organisational consultancy. Her background spans a range of organisations and sectors. She has held senior roles in the civil service and not-for-profit sector.

Her coaching clients are mainly senior and middle managers from large organisations e.g. civil service departments, major banks, management consultancies. She also works with self-employed consultants and other professionals and senior managers from the voluntary sector. Many of Hilary’s clients are professional women in mid-career.

Hilary’s personal style is warm, friendly and informal. She is business-focused, using powerful and challenging questions to help clients progress towards their goals, yet always with a light touch. She combines a structured approach with flexibility so that each coaching relationship is tailored to the specific needs of the client.

Hilary is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management. She is a certified NLP Coach, NLP Master Practitioner, Licensed Firework Career Coach and Member of the International Coach Federation. Hilary is also an associate senior consultant for Rema Consulting and an associate coach for the National School of Government

Hilary combines running her own coaching business with a part-time role as Programme Director for WIG (The Whitehall & Industry Group). WIG exists to improve understanding and co-operation between the public and private sectors and Hilary’s work for WIG keeps her up-to-date with the issues facing senior managers in business and the public sector.

Hilary co-delivers WIG’s highly successful Leadership Programme, facilitating action learning groups of delegates from organisations as diverse as BT, HM Treasury, Financial Services Authority, the Home Office, Rolls-Royce plc, Oxfordshire County Council and ConocoPhillips plc.
