Ros Starkey

My style of coaching is one of flexibility and openness, adapting to meet the needs of each client.  Inquisitive and curious by nature, I am not afraid to ask challenging questions and balance doing so by tuning into my intuitive side to best serve my clients”.

Ros is a Certified Coach, having completed the Certificate of Professional Development in Coaching from The School of Coaching and The University of Strathclyde.  In addition she is an MBTI and TMS accredited practitioner as well as a Certified Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and a Licensed Firework Career Coach.  Ros abides by the Codes of Ethics from both The School of Coaching and the International Coach Federation.

Having initially trained and worked as a Primary School Teacher, Ros moved into the oil and gas industry where after working as a manager in the Information Services Department, moved into HR into a global learning and development role, where her main focus was change transition, performance management, leadership development and organizational capability.  She was also laterally a member of the HR leadership team and is an experienced coach and facilitator who has worked with a wide range of individuals and groups both in the UK and in the US.

Ros left Amerada Hess in 2003 and when she moved to Houston, Texas with her husband and son in 2004, set up her own business and worked as an associate with Deedee Ostfeld and Associates.   Ros now divides her time between Houston and the UK.  Her areas of expertise include transition coaching for expatriates, career coaching and executive coaching.  Ros continues to be committed to her ongoing professional development.  In 2010 she qualified as a coach supervisor with the Coaching Supervision Academy and continues to work regularly with her own supervisor.
